I mean come on! I am such a sucker for all things girly. These glasses are adorable and decked out in gold flowers. They have this vintage/Lana Del Rey/Marie Antoinette vibe somehow...and I'm obsessed.
But of course it was one of those things you have to sigh and realize that posting this on your tumblr is the closest you'll be to ever owning something so outlandishly wonderful.
I have definitely kept my eyes peeled over the months for anything that would somewhat compare to these beauties-at a more consumer friendly price. Nothing has caught my eye...and yes although these were part of Dolce & Gabbana's fall line, I honestly feel like these are so spring and summer! So months later, I'm still lusting after them.
Today on my study break, I pulled up youtube and there before me was ChriselleLim's newest video. It's simple, but has completely inspired me to make my own baroque sunglasses. Of course it won't feel as good as wearing the D&G label, but isn't part of dress up simply playing pretend?!
To achieve my pretend dream glasses, I'd go for white clay, and use metallic gold acrylic paint after baking it. Also, if you don't want to put in the effort of creating the motifs from scratch...eBay and etsy are both chock full of them! Simply find the ones you want and glue them on....wah lah! You are a fashion queen! These huge glasses should come in handy to shield your eyes from all of the paparazzi camera flashes! :)
