My Newest Craft Escapade!

Oh how excited I am to share this with you! I have not been able to sew for sew long! OK THAT WAS A TERRIBLE JOKE-but I had to say it. :)

I am going to make the Attache dress from Lisette by Simplicity Pattern 1666! Look at the cuteness!

I have decided on some lovely navy cotton fabric with tiny little white polka dots! I can already see it in my head as part of a lovely little nautical outfit! The only pictures I have been able to find online are of older women who sewed the dress with a very low hemline. I can't decide the decade this style fits into better. The fuller skirt reminds me of the 50's (60's always make me think of shift dresses), but I'm definitely going to keep the hemline above the knee i.e. 60's style.

I will keep you updated on the progress! If you are interested in any sewing tutorials, please let me know! It's a rarity that I meet girls my age that like to sew. My mom calls it a 'dying art'! It's so sad because sewing is very fun and rewarding to me! I really enjoy it. And there is no better feeling than when someone compliments your clothes and you get to say you made it...and they are like WHAT??

Have a great Wednesday! I'm off to study!
